This is the first time I am having as a guest on my show, a fellow member of the www.latalklive.com team! Farron Dozier is a rock star in my opinion.
Behind this beautiful smile is a man that has faced many challenges in his life starting at a young age. Little did he know as a youngster at the age of 5, when his arm was aching; it wasn’t the growing pains one would associate with a healthy little boy.
After high school, Farron enrolled in the Army at age 19. This experience shaped his life then and continues to be a major passion in his life today.
We will be talking about that and what happened while he was serving. A pivotal moment happened during a routine physical in 1999, when his blood work determined that he had Sickle Cell Trait. In 2006 while participating in a physical fitness test, he collapsed with trait exertion. He will be explaining what that means along with what the differences are between Sickle Cell Anemia and Sickle Cell Trait.
Farron, retired SFC, served for 24 years and has a keen appreciation for the Military Service Men and Women especially those that have struggled emotionally and physically once their service was over. He is actively involved in Veteran concerns.
I would describe him with these three words…
Caring, Sharing and Advocating
The show is live Monday, July 11 at 1:00 PT on www.latalklive.com and www.ustream.tv/channel/la-talk-live Many people have had an influence on his life, including Phyllis Thomas.
