Sometimes the best medicine for a stressful day is just grabing the camera and heading outdoors!

Fortunately for me, I don’t have to go very far to find something interesting that catches my eye!

There is so much construction going on just beyond my neighborhood.  Although, it is very dense, they have built in some lovely green patches and ponds that are ideal for birds and their friends to gather.

I never know what I’m going to see on any given outing.  The lotus flower takes on a new meaning when it opens and shares it bloom in shadows along with a new flower ready to pop! But I’m not there alone with these lovely lotus flowers. As I looked just a little closer I noticed this turtle just checking out the view and soaking up the sun.Oh I know that ducks can be “messy” but they are so colorful, from their feathers, to their legs!!!Plus sometimes they just plain, “quack” me up!There are a few little man made ponds in Playa Vista.  If I had a pond, I would want these floating looking like 4 leaf clovers.Depending on where I was standing they just became more beautiful and I knew I was in for a treat.I was trying to figure out what this egret was looking at…perhaps it was this blue dragonfly.He/she, I have no idea, almost looks fake!Sometimes you just get a shot that you weren’t expecting!Because I’ve been here before, I know that this is a green heron.He/she is also ready for a close up!It turned out to be a perfect day. Stress, what stress?

I wonder where my camera will take me next week?
