Groovin’ On A Sunday Afternoon

“I can’t help myself”…songs and lyrics are always playing on the jukebox in my head!

“What a day for a daydream!” It’s been an eventful weekend. On a personal note, my “baby” turned 40 this past week and we celebrated in Las Vegas.

“Give me a ticket for an aeroplane,” and I’m outta here. I don’t care how far back I have to sit on the plane, just give me the window seat!

The first thing that made me “happy” was seeing my luggage ready to be put on board. There’s effort to packing, even if it’s just a short trip, I check it. Note to self, purchase more red luggage, it’s so much easier!!

I think flying over this country when it’s clear enough to see, is just a spectacular opportunity to view our landscape. Living in Los Angeles, we fly straight over the Pacific before heading back over the city. Oh sure, it’s hazy, but even through the (purple, that’s a stretch, even for me) haze, it’s “such a great fine sight to see.”

Check out this cloud.  What do you think it looks like?

Now this is what we’re looking for! How many buildings do you recognize from “a distance?”

Alright, you have to know by now how random I am.  So imagine how excited I was to find this place!!

Then poolside, this little guy, minus a claw, wanted to be my new best friend!

Of course, I had to at least make the effort to share.

After a fine visit and some tasty food we went to see The Beatles, LOVE, Cirque du Soleil. Oh man, it was a concert of original music, set to great ever changing scenery following the history of The Beatles. “All you need is love.”

“The long and winding road” still leads me back…home to the mosaic of Los Angeles.

Do you know what these are?

And now I’m back home and what do I see??? Are the runways wet? No, that’s not possible?” Seems it never rains in Southern California, seems I’ve often heard that kind of talk before.”

Sure enough…proof positive!

That’s a wrap because “raindrops are falling on my head!”
