Clean Up Westchester.

Grant is the Founder of Clean Up Westchester.

Their mission is rooted in community collaboration and driven by a vision for a cleaner, more vibrant Westchester.   Clean Up Westchester is a dedicated community initiative that brings volunteers together to beautify our neighborhood by organizing regular cleanup events.

They have 3 goals:  Neighborhood Beautification. Community Engagement. Environmental Stewardship. Grant organizes regular clean-up events to eliminate litter and debris from our streets, parks, and public spaces. Neighbors work together to connect and strengthen their community bonds.  In doing so, they inspire others to contribute to a cleaner and greener Westchester for generations to come.

Westchester Team Challenge.

Early in 2019, Grant got in touch with another fellow Westchester High School graduate and Realtor®, Amy Nelson Frelinger. Together, they created a plan to bring fun and excitement to our town and started Westchester CA Team Challenge (WCTC).

Their vision is to build an annual event to celebrate living in Westchester to raise funds for a worthy cause.

Their intention with this Challenge is to:

  • encourage community
  • create a reason to gather
  • raise funds for a worthy cause

Teamwork is a skill worth nurturing since we all need to collaborate to improve our lives, our families, our neighborhoods and our Westchester community.

Grant’s Takeaways.

“I have always enjoyed gathering people together to either have a good time, or do something positive to make our community a better place to live.  Or both, have a good time while making things better.”

In Closing.

As a community-driven initiative, Clean Up Westchester is a testament to the spirit of giving back. Grant’s journey, from his initial idea to this impactful movement, showcases the strength of Westchester’s residents when they come together.

“You can not gain old friends  So, cherish the ones you have.”
