Elizabeth Conte will be my returning guest on the Born To Talk Radio Show Podcast on Monday, October 23rd, from 1-2 PT.
Meet Elizabeth.
Elizabeth Conte is a women’s fiction writer who brings what she loves about 19th-century literature to the 21st-century reader. She writes poetry, short stories, and novels. She had an award-winning debut novel, Finding Jane, released in Spring 2022, and Chosen Mistress released last month.
Her Story.
Elizabeth believes that people love what 19th-century literature encapsulates. However, she feels that modern person, is distracted and immediately satisfied with technology. And therefore does not have the time or attention span to power through 19th-century literature.
So, Elizabeth wrote that book–a book with unique characters, beautiful imagery, and meaningful dialogue. For instance, there is a deep romance, poetic prose, and a layered story that lingers in the heart that would appeal to modern sensibilities.
Finding Jane.
In her first book, Finding Jane, this is a historical, time travel book–a sweet, romantic journey of a woman trying to find love and its meaning with modern day perspective to an old-world notion.
Chosen Mistress.
In Chosen Mistress, Elizabeth takes a sharp left turn dealing with the dark side of love. This is a tale of two women in early Victorian society exposing the underside of love, sex and relationships.
In Closing.
Elizabeth is a lover of reading, gardening, learning, and cooking. She also enjoys a good martini or whiskey at the end of the day. Her hope is to create stories and poetry that move the soul and stir the heart.
