Making his third appearance on my show, Mark Slavkin, Director of Education at the Wallis Annenberg Center for Performing Arts. www.thewallis.org.
Elaine Hall, Founder and Creative Director of The Miracle Project. www.themiracleproject.org is also a return guest.
Hannah Warren will be joining me for the first time. She is a Teacher and Assistant Director and Choreographer at The Miracle Project.
The focus of this show will be about performing artists that are Autistic. Thanks to “Coach E,” as she is affectionately known as, Elaine brings her personal experience about autism to educate and inspire others.
What is autism? We will explore the world of young people that are often isolated and how through performing arts they band together as a team.
Elaine has been recognized at the United Nations for her efforts in providing hope for autistic young people and their families. She is an Emmy award winner for her HBO documentary, Autism: The Musical. She has also written two books including Now I See The Moon, that the UN selected for World Autism Awareness Day.
Elaine doesn’t work alone. Thanks to talents that Hannah brings and the collaboration with Mark at The Wallis, young people are bringing their talents to the stage.
I won’t forget Coby Bird who joined us on a previous show. He wants to be on Broadway. He is a confident talented performer. While he works his way towards that goal, he had a role on the TV show, Speechless. The Miracle Project has had a huge impact on his life and the countless others that have participated in this program.
Mark, Elaine and Hannah change lives with their passion for the arts. Join us Monday, April 17, 2017 at 1:00 PST on www.latalklive.com or www.ustream.tv/channel/la-talk-live for this live broadcast brought to you in living color.
I am celebrating my 2-year anniversary as the host of Born To Talk. I still believe that
