New Hampshire And Maine

The journey continues as the four amigas finish up the last leg of our 10 day New England vacation in New Hampshire. We’re staying at my friends Inn on Newfound Lake.  I’ve been posting pictures of the Inn for many years now, because it is so beautiful.  What was once a yearly visit has morphed into the 4 seasons vacation in 2012 and continues to be a special place I visit at least twice a year.

While I have had some of my personal friends stop by from time to time, this was the first time that I spent 3 days with my buddies, before they left for home and I remained for an additional 2 weeks.

This is actually taken from inside a covered bridge; I loved the hard and curved lines and details. We stopped at Simon Pearce to watch the glass blowing, visit their store, have a delicious lunch and take in the scenery. This is their covered bridge.

After arriving and settling in at the Inn we appreciated the stunning sunset.

We knew we wanted to see the New Hampshire coastline and Maine before the end of this adventure. It was a great day, just seeing the Atlantic Ocean and also visiting with friends in Rye.

While the weather was drizzly, a phenomenon that we drought poor friends are unfamiliar with, we continued over the bridge into Maine in search of what else…food!

You cannot go to Maine and skip eating a lobster roll!! Doesn’t it make you want to get on a plane?

As we made our way up to York, we enjoyed the drizzle on the flowers in the gardens at Stonewall Kitchen. I like putting these hyperlinks in for you, so that you can do your own discovery. The following pictures were taken from their manicured flower gardens.

Next up…Exploring New Hampshire on our final day of this great vacation together.

Here’s a sneak peak…
