I try to be prepared when I am walking outside, by having my camera at the ready. You just never know what you may encounter. It could be a beautiful sunrise or sunset. Perhaps the clouds are forming unusual shapes in the wide sky, or the moon is gigantic and yellow, whatever it is, I try to be aware of my surroundings.
Because I am such a routine person, it’s always a joy when something out of the ordinary happens AND I have my camera to capture it.
This is what I’m talking about. I don’t live in the country, I live in a big city, so when I see a raccoon in the early morning dawn walking around at Loyola Marymount University, I’m stunned.
It was a hefty size, I might add.
Get ready for your closeup! This opossum or possum; take your pick, it’s way too confusing to me. Either way, it just needed to find coverage, but not before I snapped a couple of pictures. Once again, an early morning opportunity on my way to LMU.
I see you…you’re not blending in…
And finally in my own backyard, my wild kingdom still cracks me up. I think I need to name this squirrel, does Rocky, work?? Does he think that tail keeps me from seeing his plan??
Nope, he has his eyes on the prize.
Oh think twice, it’s another day for you and me in paradise!!
