The Born To Talk radio show is about Conversations + Connections = Community. Each week I have the pleasure of introducing you to interesting and inspiring people. What they all have in common is “Their Story” everyone has one. I’m here to share those stories with you.
I met Deborah over 20 years ago, she was one of the many fascinating members of the Westchester YMCA. You don’t really know a lot about people when you’re just walking next to each other on a treadmill, but in Deborah’s case, we just started talking and have been doing so ever since.
I retired from the YMCA nearly 12 years ago, but Deborah and I just run into each other from time to time and pick up right where we left off.
Deborah is a Professor at the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. We are going to talk about her early experiences in the Peace Corps in West Africa and how that molded her future. What is Public Health? How does that link to our well-being both in the US and other developed countries?
Please join us Monday, January 16th on LA Talk Live www.latalklive.com and www.ustream.tv/channel/la-talk-live at 1:00 PST for an entertaining and informative show.
