Lori A. Cash

Join me on the Born To Talk Radio Show Podcast, on May 24th, 1-2 PT with my guest Lori A. Cash.

Let’s Meet Lori A. Cash.

To being with, Lori A. Cash is an award-winning wildlife and nature photographer who lives in Norfolk, Virginia. She enjoys capturing the tranquility and beauty of wildlife and nature and sharing her vision with others. Lori began her journey in photography in the late 1990s and continues to expand her catalog of images into different genres of photography. They include vineyards, wine art, and digital art. However, Lori has a special love for bird photography and spends most of her time photographing birds.

The early years.

In her early twenty’s Lori served in the United States Coast Guard.  She started her photography journey while stationed in Maine. Living in Maine inspired Lori to begin photographing the beautiful scenery of Maine. After her honorable discharge from the U.S. Coast Guard, Lori enrolled in college and received her Bachelor of Social Work degree. While working as a social worker in the intellectual disability field, she continued to photograph wildlife and nature.

Lori lived near the Outer Banks of North Carolina for over twenty years where she developed her love for bird photography and honed her photography skills by photographing on the Outer Banks. Lori served as the first Regional Coordinator for the Outer Banks Region of the Carolinas’ Nature Photographers Association (CNPA) and was instrumental in setting up and organizing the Outer Banks Region.

Today, Lori focuses on her photography full-time. Lori is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association (NANPA).

As an example of her work, check out her Blog about Observing and Photographing the Elusive Brown Pelican Head Throw Behavior

Pelicans are probably my favorite bird to photograph. Look at the majesty of this bird that she captured as it skims the shoreline.

There’s more!

Lori is also the founder and administrator of the Hampton Roads Nature Photography Facebook Group.  Her wildlife and nature images have been published in a variety of media. They include the internet, newsletters, magazines, guides, newspapers, and calendars. Why does she love it?  Lori hopes that through her photography others will gain a greater sense of appreciation for the natural world.

Interested in seeing more of her photography?  Check out her collection.  As you might imagine, Lori is highly respected in her field, and yet she is always willing to learn more. She surrounds herself with others that appreciate conservation and photography.

Lori is a visual storyteller, photographer, writer, and blogger.
