My name is Marsha Wietecha. Please join me on my journey as I repost a blog written 13 years ago. I might add, NONE of this would have ever happened without the connection of friends. In this case, Deb Blaine, my Sparks season ticket buddy, said, “I think I’ve got something for you to sink your teeth into!!” Little did we know I’d be writing about this 8 years later!! Deb was my producer for my first 3 years. Then let’s add in Tia Ragland, also known as Triple T, Tia The Terrific. Tia started with me from day 1 and continues to support me to this day by posting on Instagram 3 times a week for me.
Where it all began…
Deb suggested that I start by writing a blog, before going to the studio to host my show. She is very wise! In November of 2013, I started writing the Born To Talk Radio Show Blog. Writing, along with photography and a love for music, was a great method of expression.
In April 2015, my Blog got a voice when my weekly internet radio hosting career began. I’ve had conversations with a wide variety of guests that range from Non-profits, Entrepreneurs, Authors, Actors, Musicians, Athletes, and people in the community all with a story to share. For nearly three years, my show was broadcast with an audio and visual feed from the LA Talk Live studio right in my hometown of Westchester. I loved the opportunity to have my guests join me face-to-face.
Check out my blog from 8 years ago! What a trip down memory lane.
The Day After The Born To Talk Radio Show Debut
Written on April 14, 2015
My radio show premiered yesterday on LA Talk Live As I was hoping, it was pretty darn good, all things considered. Thanks to Christina Davis and Gwen Vuchsas for being my first guests.
I’m thinking back to when this whole new life chapter began and realized, thanks to my friend and producer Deb Blaine, I have a new life achievement.
I didn’t set out to do this a couple of years ago, but here I find myself in a whole new world.
It started with my first blog…Ever Held A Hummingbird? November 4, 2013. 174 blogs later, my blog Born To Talk Radio Show, now has a voice as well!
None of this would be possible without my partner Deb. She saw something in me that I would have never imagined. For those that know me, I’m not exactly a writer. I am, however, the Queen of the Fragmented Sentence. A crown that I wear proudly, I might add.
My eyes are wide open for what comes next, which it appears is moving my lips on the latalklive.com network.
Let me just end with this thought… get ready…it’s so profound.
You don’t know what you don’t know. Simple but oh so true.
The technology available to all of us is indescribable. I didn’t know you don’t need to put the www in the browser. I can barely spell browser. Sounds like something above your eyelids!!
Stick with me, there is more to come and I look forward to sharing this not only with my current friends but hey, if you think it’s worthy, share my blog on your timeline…That my friend is a woman who now runs her own small business!!!
As my buddy, Bono sings…It’s A Beautiful Day, Don’t Let It Get Away!
In Closing.
While I was in the LA Talk Live Studio for my first 3 years, I was looking to see if any of my shows were still available on YouTube. As luck would have it…I found the link to my show, with my son Dave. This brings me joy to watch this all these years later!!!
I have enjoyed every moment of talking with my guests. Many have been on my show more than once. What they all have in common, is a STORY! Don’t forget to subscribe to Born To Talk Radio Show on your favorite podcast app. and remember:
Conversations + Connections = Community
Making the world a better place. One Story at a time.
What’s Your Story? I want to share it!
