The Day After The Born To Talk Radio Show Debut

My radio show premiered yesterday on latalklive.com As I was hoping, it was pretty darn good, all things considered.  Thanks to Christina Davis and Gwen Vuchsas for being my first guests.

I’m thinking back to when this whole new life chapter began and realized, thanks to my friend and producer Deb, I have a new life achievement.

I didn’t set out to do this a couple of years ago, but here I find myself in a whole new world.

It started with my first blog…Ever Held A Hummingbird?  November 4, 2013.174 blogs later, my blog Born To Talk Radio Show, now has a voice as well!

Here’s the link to my first blog in case you missed it. http://virb.com/pages/blog/1242774/text/edit/13909805

None of this would be possible without my partner Deb. She saw something in me that I would have never imagined. For those that know me, I’m not exactly a writer. I am however, the Queen of the Fragmented Sentence. A crown that I wear proudly, I might add.

I remember being at the Inn on Newfound Lake, visiting with my good friends at the Tavern, when Dan O’Rourke offered me the following advice. “Just write like you talk.”

Seemed simple, hence the royalty title, since clearly I must speak in fragmented sentences.

My buddy Peter Hart said the same thing. We brain stormed story possibilities and that’s when the photography bug really hit me smack in the face.  I have hundreds and hundreds of pictures of my visits to New Hampshire.  By the way, Peter made both of the necklaces I’m wearing!! Let me know if you’d like a link to his jewelry! It became pretty clear that my “stories” are driven by what my eyes see through a lens. Who knew? I sure didn’t realize that photography ultimately was going to play a huge part in my blog.

Then you add in travel. Is there anyone luckier than I, to travel with my girl friends? We’ve been to so many places, from Cape Cod, The Jersey Shore, PA, GA, SC, NH, VT, ME, MA not to mention Palms Springs and Las Vegas. This was in Hilton Head 2012Then there’s all the international travel with Shelley. South America, Europe, Vietnam, Asia, just to name the continents!! A special shout out to Shelley, for taking my banner photo for the Born To Talk Radio Show while we are visiting a hotel in Istanbul!

Here we are in Athens.

I’m so behind in blogging about our trip!!!  I’ve been a little busy lately!

The point of this blog is to just let you know, that I am living a grateful life, filled with outstanding friends from all over this wonderful country.

My eyes are wide open for what comes next, which it appears is moving my lips on the latalklive.com network.

Let me just end with this thought… get ready…it’s so profound.

You don’t know what you don’t know. Simple but oh so true.

The technology available to all of us is indescribable. I didn’t know you don’t need to put the www in the browser.  I can barely spell browser. Sounds like something above your eyelids!!

Stick with me, there is more to come and I look forward to sharing this not only with my current friends, but hey, if you think it’s worthy, share my blog on your timeline…That my friends is a woman who now runs her own small business!!!

As my buddy, Bono sings…It’s A Beautiful Day, Don’t Let It Get Away!
